What is FDE (Full Disk Encryption)

Disk encryption is a technology which protects information by converting it into unreadable format called ciphertext that cannot be deciphered without the right ciphering key. Disk encryption uses encryption software or hardware to encrypt data that goes onto a disk or disk volume. The term "full disk encryption” is often used to signify that everything on a disk is encrypted.Enova Technology (www.enovatech.com) pioneered the hardware-based full disk encryption technology because of various advantages it provided compared to software to encrypt full disk; Enova introduced 9 generations of crypto modules (Hardware Encryption Engines) in the past 10 Years and is committed to providing robust solutions for today’s challenging security requirements.
