| Every X-Wall family microchip we ship is 100% tested and proven and complies with International quality assurance standards (MIL-STD-883E). However, there may be occasions that chip malfunctions after being used heavily under extreme conditions. Though this rarely occurs, we must prepare for the worst. Thus, the warranty issue can be resolved by simply replacing the possibly defective X-Wall microchip. The contents of the disk drive will NOT be lost as long as you retain the original X-Wall Secure Key intact. Nevertheless, system components and/or disk failures can occur, so it is good practice to always keep a Secure Backup of your important data.
